About Gagan
Gagan Narang is a Partner at Forvint Law Partners and an Advocate-on-Record before the Supreme Court of India. He brings nearly a decade of experience in commercial and corporate disputes, domestic and international arbitration, insolvency and bankruptcy, constitutional litigation and white-collar crime. His practice encompasses proceedings before the Supreme Court, various High Courts, the NCLT, the NCLAT and other judicial and quasi-judicial forums.
Gagan heads the Firm's disputes practice from its Delhi NCR office and is responsible for its national dispute-resolution practice. He has represented corporates, financial institutions, government bodies, contractors, joint ventures, investors and individuals in complex commercial and regulatory disputes. His arbitration work includes proceedings under institutional rules, including those of the DIFC, DIAC, LCIA and SIAC, as well as ad hoc domestic arbitrations and the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in India.
His litigation practice covers commercial and corporate disputes, constitutional and writ proceedings, insolvency-related litigation, real estate disputes, consumer matters and proceedings under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. In arbitration he represents parties at different stages of the reference, including applications for appointment of arbitrators, interim measures, jurisdictional issues, challenges to awards and enforcement.
Gagan has substantial experience under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, representing financial and operational creditors, companies, shareholders and directors before the NCLT, NCLAT and Supreme Court. His white-collar crime practice includes representation before the Enforcement Directorate, the Serious Fraud Investigation Office, the Economic Offences Wing and authorities under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, including bail proceedings before the High Courts and the Supreme Court. His work also encompasses general corporate advisory, contract structuring, governance and ongoing commercial counsel to companies and promoters.
He is an alumnus of Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar.
